Associate, Inventory Control (Afternoon shift)

Primary Responsibilities 

Monitor Point of Use inventory accuracy, investigating and correcting any inaccuracies in a proactive manner, and supporting the Cycle Counter in the investigation of any inventory anomalies as requiredProvide customer service at the stores wicket including completion of inventory transactionsManaging incoming inventory from receiving including transacting new material receipts, customer returns/customer furnished equipment, and invoice receiving requestsDaily report running, creation of manufacturing orders and order pickingMonitor and facilitate where possible, workflow and communication between Production Cells and other relevant departmentsResponsible for supporting and completing all WIP counts (i.e. monthly and yearly)Material handling Receiving Kanban material from suppliersStock/process audits and variance investigationMaintaining a high level of Inventory Accuracy

Required Capabilities 

Familiar with Lean Manufacturing conceptsDemonstrated knowledge of MRPExperience working with a perpetual computerized inventory management systemAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines            Excellent organizational and time management skillsStrong analytical, problem solving and investigative abilityStrong communications skills including building strong relationships with people at all levelsBe able to meet the physical demands-prolonged standing, occasionally climbing small ladders, carrying and lifting 15kgs

Desired Education and Experiences

Post Secondary Education in Operations Management APICSProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a particular strength using Microsoft ExcelCommitment to change using a continuous improvement approach CPIM designation or working towards2 years of experience in inventory control
