Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Champaign, Illinois. This position involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment where attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential. Responsibilities: • Manage inventory tracking processes to ensure accurate records of all items entering and leaving the warehouse. • Perform shipping and receiving duties, including scanning barcodes, labeling items, and confirming orders. • Conduct audits to verify inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create formulas and maintain data organized for reporting purposes. • Ensure all products are labeled correctly and meet quality standards before shipment. • Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse operations and improve efficiency. • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, including wearing steel-toed boots and adhering to dress code guidelines. • Work effectively in a warm warehouse environment, using fans to stay comfortable while performing physical tasks. • Support the annual inventory process by conducting physical counts and reconciling data. • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address inventory-related issues. The salary range for this position is $20 to $22/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Prior experience in inventory management, preferably 2-3 years, though less experience will be considered. • Familiarity with warehouse operations and processes is highly desirable. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and use formulas. • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all inventory-related tasks. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. • Ability to work in a warm warehouse environment without air conditioning. • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, scanning, and moving inventory. • Steel-toed boots required for safety compliance.
