Inventory Clerk
Description Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic team. This Contract-to-Permanent opportunity offers the chance to support vital inventory operations and contribute to efficient site management processes. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, managing storeroom operations, and ensuring the timely availability of critical spare parts. This hands-on position is perfect for an individual passionate about organization, problem resolution, and supplier communication while adhering to corporate standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities: + Storeroom Operations: Manage the daily operations of assigned storerooms to ensure proper inventory levels, compliance with corporate standards, and efficient workflows. + Cycle Counting & Discrepancy Resolution: Perform and oversee regular inventory cycle counts, promptly addressing and resolving any identified discrepancies with actionable solutions. + Team Support & Training: Assist maintenance teams by training personnel to locate, identify, and account for inventory items accurately. + Inventory Monitoring & Adjustments: Monitor inventory levels, identify gaps, and provide recommendations for adjustments regarding additions, changes, or removals in stock. + Spare Parts Management: Ensure availability of critical spare parts at all times to achieve zero stock-outs while maintaining operational reliability. + Kit Assembly: Execute kitting processes to streamline maintenance work cycles and enhance overall efficiency. + Best Practices Implementation: Adhere to and implement corporate best practices for storeroom management, including preventative maintenance and proper storage protocols for all spare parts. + Vendor Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with local suppliers to support routine operations and address emergency supply needs. + Part Identification & Cataloging: Use corporate taxonomy standards to identify and categorize inventory parts accurately, making updates or corrections as needed. + Reporting & Improvement Recommendations: Track and report storeroom performance metrics to site leadership, proactively advising on improvement opportunities. Requirements • Proven experience in inventory management, including tracking, asset inventory, and annual physical inventory processes. • Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, including documentation and vendor coordination. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry and inventory analysis. • Ability to work in hot environments and lift heavy boxes as needed. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy. • Effective communication skills to train staff and collaborate with vendors and site leaders. • Knowledge of inventory control systems and best practices for storeroom management. • Commitment to following safety regulations, including appropriate attire such as closed-toe shoes and durable clothing.
