Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and organization of inventory records while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of a wholesale distribution environment. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using specialized software systems. • Conduct regular physical inventory checks to ensure alignment with system data. • Receive and verify incoming shipments, cross-checking against purchase orders and invoices. • Organize storage areas to optimize accessibility and efficiency. • Identify and report inventory discrepancies to the appropriate departments. • Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to ensure stock levels meet operational demands. • Process and document returned goods in compliance with company policies. • Prepare detailed reports on inventory levels, supply chain metrics, and procedural improvements. • Liaise with suppliers and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery and distribution. • Ensure safety and health guidelines are followed when handling inventory and warehouse equipment. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field. • Proficiency in inventory management software, such as ERP systems. • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. • Basic math skills for accurate inventory counts and data verification. • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various teams and report findings. • Familiarity with wholesale distribution processes and standards. • Ability to perform clerical tasks, including record-keeping and data entry. • Knowledge of financial systems like ADP and technologies such as Cerner and Epic Software is a plus.
