Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will play a key part in managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient storage practices within a wholesale distribution environment. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in inventory software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate inventory records using specialized software and databases.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts to ensure alignment between system records and actual stock.
• Monitor and coordinate product orders, verifying shipments for accuracy against purchase invoices.
• Organize and optimize storage areas for streamlined retrieval and efficient use of space.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or issues in inventory levels to the appropriate department.
• Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to ensure sufficient stock levels and timely replenishment.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations when handling inventory and warehouse equipment.
• Process and document returned goods, ensuring proper tracking and resolution.
• Communicate with suppliers and transportation companies to facilitate smooth inventory operations.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, procedural efficiency, and supply chain performance for management review. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
• Proficiency in inventory management software, including ERP systems and Cerner Technologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as Epic Software and financial services platforms like ADP.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to create charts, graphs, and reports to analyze stock levels and trends.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, transport teams, and internal departments.
• Basic auditing and clerical skills to support inventory tracking and compliance.
• Experience with handling inbound calls and managing documentation processes.
