Inventory Clerk
Description We are looking for a dedicated Inventory Clerk to join our healthcare team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing medical supply inventories and ensuring efficient distribution across hospital departments. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and organizational skills are highly valued. Responsibilities: • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and adequate stocking levels of medical supply locations, ensuring bins and carts are arranged for easy access. • Verify expiration dates on inventory items, rotate stock accordingly, and report inadequate par levels to supervisors. • Receive and unpack sterile medical products from distributors, remove packaging, and stock shelves with replenishment items. • Conduct cycle counts and periodic inventory checks using handheld devices and designated inventory management software. • Transport medical supplies to various hospital departments based on specific needs and par levels. • Assist in the sorting and organization of daily shipments at the loading dock, including transporting loads to department areas for further breakdown. • Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of inventory movements to support efficient stock management. • Monitor inventory usage rates and collaborate with team members to address supply chain challenges. Requirements • Proven experience in inventory management, including tracking and control processes. • Familiarity with equipment and supply inventory systems, preferably in a healthcare setting. • Ability to operate handheld inventory devices and utilize inventory management software. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Physical capability to lift and transport supplies as needed. • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and department leaders. • Knowledge of stock rotation practices and expiration date monitoring. • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of supply locations.
