Your Role:
MilliporeSigma has a current opening for an Inventory Associate 2 to maintain and monitor Internal and External Control systems for materials throughout the business cycle.
The role involves monitoring and auditing systems and transactions to identify, correct, and prevent inaccuracies. It requires interpreting data from reports and forms to determine the correct transactions to perform across all systems. Additionally, the individual will assist the manager or supervisor in identifying errors and planning strategies to correct them, ensuring that these errors do not occur in the future. Reconciling systems and correcting data is essential to ensure consistency across all platforms. The use of investigation tools to balance stock with appropriate adjustments and movement types is also necessary.
The position demands a professional and timely response to internal users, providing information and training as needed. It includes resolving inquiries regarding product availability, error resolution, and problem-solving for Customer/Order Services (FG and Bulk), as well as departments such as Receiving, Purchasing, QC, QA, Packaging, Selectors, and Production. The individual will field phone calls from internal users related to inventory, deliveries, and discrepancies, and handle inventory issues related to the Customer Service pager, including canceled orders, customer complaint research, and delivery creation.
Compiling inventory-related information, such as measurements and volume, into spreadsheets, graphs, and charts is part of the job. Daily maintenance of individual and departmental cycle count data, selection error data, customer complaint totals, and distribution center adjustment error rates is also required. The role includes developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for inventory control and maintaining exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule. Following all good distribution practices (GDP) where applicable is essential, along with performing miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned. Additionally, the individual must be part of the chemical spills team.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience working in a warehouse/production environmentSAP experienceForklift experience University undergraduate with minimum of one year warehouse/production experience

Reach forklift experiencePC literate, basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and AccessStrong Mathematical backgroundKnowledge of the metric system and conversion of those units of measure, ISO standards (in relation to preparing documents)Skilled in organization, preparing spreadsheets, word processing, problem solving, communication, attention to detail, teamwork, training and leadership
