The Role
The Inventory and Logistics Coordinator will play a vital role in managing the flow of materials within our fast-paced and collaborative environment. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable individual to support daily shipping, receiving, and dispatch operations. This role works cross-functionally with General Management, Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless logistics and accurate inventory management.
A key responsibility of this position is to maintain project timelines by ensuring that components are received, processed, picked, and delivered in alignment with vehicle build schedules. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our supply chain and the success of our programs.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes, experience with automotive parts and logistics, and proficiency in inventory management systems and standard business software. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
What You’ll Do
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
Verify and file all quality documentation to ensure compliance with GM internal standards and customer requirements
Prepare and ship outgoing parts and materials according to GM policy and customer guidelines
Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
Accurately record all received items into inventory management systems
Work collaboratively with GM Manufacturing to dispatch inventory to appropriate departments to support build schedules
Label and organize products according to program specifications
Coordinate with drivers and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate shipments
Assist GM Purchasing with performing regular inventory counts
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with GM 5S
Resolve shipping issues and customer complaints that arise, escalating complex issues to management as needed
Oversee the daily management of inventory levels, ensuring products are well-stocked and organized
Maintain stock location and allocation history within inventory management system

Additional Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control
Proven ability to thrive in a small team environment
Skilled at multi-tasking across purchasing, quality, manufacturing, supplier capacity, and customer support functions
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Eligible to obtain a forklift operator license
Eligible to obtain a chauffeur’s license
Physically capable of lifting items over 50 lbs
This position requires a valid security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
