Inventory And Forklift Associate

Description

An Assistant Storekeeper with 0-5 years of experience is typically in an entry-level or junior position, assisting with various materials support activities. Primary responsibilities will include warehouse and material yard clean-up, managing trash disposal, loading and unloading materials with forklifts, and preparing items for transport to the Material Distribution Center in Forest Park, GA.

Key responsibilities are as follows: • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and customer interactions • Collaborate with teams including Metering, Power Delivery and Supply Chain • Learn and utilize relevant software systems for tracking and Ordering • Assist in the preparation of shipping and delivery materials to Distribution Center • Weekly and monthly inventory audits The employee will be responsible for operating cutting tools and blowers, as well as using forklifts for loading and unloading materials. Duties also include lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Certification in Forklift Operations is required. Completion of forklift training (1.5 hours) and successful passage of the certification test (70% or higher) are required prior to operating a forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

The role will involve work across three primary locations. Mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with the Federal Mileage Rate for approved commute miles. The employee must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between three or five storeroom locations as needed. Furthermore, the individual may be called upon to support storm restoration activities at storeroom sites throughout the Northeast Region, including Gainesville, Cornelia, Clayton, Hartwell, or Athens Operating Headquarters.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
