Job Summary

Responsible for technical/training support to ensure Parts Distribution and Logistics Division inventory accuracy levels are maintained and improved. This position requires detailed involvement with Cat Parts Inbound, Cat Parts Claims & Returns and the Reconciliation teams. Incumbent will be involved in creating and maintaining training documentation for personnel at different levels including management and salaried processes associated with inventory record accuracy and their importance in overall supply chain management.


What You Will Do:

Responsible for managing processes to ensure that Cat Parts Division inventory accuracy levels are maintained and improved.Incumbent will reconcile stock record and system discrepancies by analyzing various types of transactions and systems utilizing SPM, SRA and CGM SAP.The incumbent will work closely with other functional areas and meet department goals.  Perform and coordinate the historic inventory recovery review process for clients including writing/running SAS programs, and developing reports and tools to make the process efficient.  This position requires detailed involvement with Cat Parts clients’ inventory databases.  Incumbent will report and document work progress and interact with facility personnelInvolvement with the Statistical Test Count (STC) process, investigates and analyzes stock record adjustments completed by Cat Logistics facilities to verify thoroughness, accuracy, determine causal factors, and conducting facility risk assessments

Additional Information:

Candidate must have working knowledge of the parts distribution network and supply chain management.Candidate must have previous record accuracy experience as well as excellent analytical and interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus.Candidate must have SPM, SRA and CGM SAP expertise

Desired Qualifications: 

Working knowledge of Cat Parts Division Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence a variety of personnel. SAP and SAS program development skills are a plus.Must work US CST 7:00am-4:00pm

Inventory Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Follows processes to take stock, release inventory or return into processing; resolves discrepancies.
• Tracks inventory information for a specific product group or location.
• Works with basic tasks of inventory management for a specific location.
• Produces basic inventory management reports for senior staff to reconcile the inventory balances.
