Inventory Analyst
Description We are looking for an experienced Inventory Analyst to join our team in Tampa, Florida, on a long-term contract basis. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of inventory records through meticulous reconciliations, data entry, and variance analysis. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment while contributing to process improvements and maintaining compliance with inventory management standards. Responsibilities: • Enter data from external warehouse reports and physical inventory counts into the Master Inventory file to support reconciliation processes. • Perform reconciliations of month-end inventory balances between plant systems and external warehouses for various product and location combinations. • Investigate and analyze inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. • Collaborate with Material Management colleagues to provide documentation and support for inventory corrections. • Ensure adherence to internal control requirements and company policies related to inventory management. • Calculate inventory shrinkage and request necessary adjustments to maintain accurate records. • Facilitate and oversee physical inventory counts in accordance with company standards and policies. • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and improved efficiency using Microsoft Office tools and other technologies. • Compile and prepare data for internal reporting purposes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Requirements • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience. • Proven experience in inventory management and analysis in a structured environment. • Familiarity with SAP systems, particularly S4, is preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis. • Strong skills in account reconciliation and variance analysis. • Ability to manage automated inventory systems and perform physical inventory audits. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication abilities for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
