Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team! As an Interventional Technologist, no day will be the same! You'll experience different challenges each day while working in a fast-paced environment. 

The Interventional Technologist works directly with the provider to best serve patients, scrubbing in on cases and operating appropriate scanning equipment. 

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Interventional Radiologists during minimally invasive procedures such as biopsies, angiograms, stent placements, and embolization.Participate in on-call rotation.

Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

Follow proper infection control and safety protocols at all times.

Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details and imaging results.

Administer contrast agents as required for imaging procedures.

Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment and devices.

Prepare and position patients for imaging studies, ensuring comfort and safety.

Operate imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and X-ray during procedures.

HOURS: Supplemental or .2 FTE 16 hours every two weeks working days with call time (two scheduled days every two weeks and every fourth weekend

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of radiological standards and procedures normally acquired through completion of a diploma from an approved AMA school of radiological technology, an Associate’s Degree in Radiology, or other manner to meet requirements of the ARRT.Possesses State of Wisconsin Radiographer license.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.ACLS certification beneficial
