MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is a 342 bed, regional referral teaching hospital in Mason City, Iowa. MercyOne New Hampton Medical Center is an 11 bed, rural access hospital in New Hampton, Iowa. In north Iowa, our clinics are made up of more than 25 primary care, pediatric, internal medicine and specialty clinics. ****Relocation assistance available if relocating more than 50 miles away**** **Hours/Schedule:** + Day Shift + 40 hours a week **What you will Do:** + Provide competent patient care to the above indicated patient populations by obtaining and appropriately interpreting data, making appropriate decisions based on demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development, and appropriately adapting procedures and treatments + Follow all IR policies, procedures, and practices as described in the IR Policy and Procedure Manual + Assist the physician directly in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilizing sterile technique, and following departmental policies, procedures, and AORN standards + Instruct student technologists and peers as required + Complete all job-related paperwork in a timely manner including consent forms, CPT coding, charging, logbook, and inventory + Provide proper and safe transportation of patients to and from the Radiology Department **Minimum Qualifications:** + Must be credentialed in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) + Must be credentialed in Cardiovascular/Interventional Technology (CIT) or Vascular Interventional (VI) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or willing to obtain within 2 years of employment + No experience is required, at least 1 year as diagnostic radiographer is preferred + Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual + Ability to work flexible hours, including flexibility with daily starting and ending times + Basic computer skills. + Must provide proof of **Basic Life Support** (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status + Completes **Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse** requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years **Position Highlights and Benefits:** + Education Assistance offered + Effective Day 1 Benefit Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, and more) for positions 16 hours per week or greater + Competitive wages; including weekend and night differentials + Generous paid time off program + Retirement Savings program with employer match starting on Day 1 **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
