The Work You’ll Do:
The internship aims to provide a practical integration between the theory acquired during the academic journey and the reality of the job market, with a focus on the area of indirect taxes. The main goal of this internship is to apply and deepen the knowledge acquired during academic training while the intern actively contributes to solving real daily challenges in the tax field. Tax consultancy is a strategic area essential to the financial health of any organization, requiring constantly updated knowledge and a practical approach to implementing tax solutions aligned with current legislation, as well as continuous monitoring of technological requirements. In this regard, the internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, learning the best practices applied in the tax context. Additionally, this internship will provide the development of essential skills, such as analyzing tax legislation, calculating tax obligations, solving complex problems, communicating with clients on tax issues, as well as using and implementing internal technologies to support data analysis. The contact with specialized tools and software, as well as solving real case studies, will significantly contribute to professional training and to building a solid foundation for a future career in the areas of consultancy, compliance, and/or tax technologies.
More specifically you will:
Develop knowledge of VAT and/or IPT legislation principles to facilitate conversations with clients and internally. Assist the team in validating client portfolio data and preparing statements for senior review, for subsequent submission within the established internal deadlines. Support team members or other departments with client-related issues, including audits or supporting legislation research. Assist the team in filling out forms and forwarding them to the respective authorities. Support the team with some administrative tasks, including receiving and translating mail from Tax Authorities and forwarding it to the responsible team. Collaborate efficiently with colleagues and other departments when necessary to ensure submission deadlines are met. Ensure that internal policies and procedures are followed according to the established guidelines.
What We Need From You:
Eligible for a professional internship (IEFP). Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, or similar fields. Interest in indirect taxes, namely VAT and/or IPT. Knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel. Excellent knowledge of English – other languages will be a plus. Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze, filter and interpret information. Good time and task management skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. Good communication skills and good customer service. Ability to work in a team. Interest in technology and developing new knowledge.
