Internship position – Life Science Cameras team

Job description:

Our Life Science Research and Development team, specializing in cameras for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), is seeking a passionate candidate with a background in physics, mathematics, signal or image processing. The ideal candidate will be motivated to test image quality of cameras, develop and verify new image processing techniques, as well as improve and test existing ones. This role involves teamwork, but the candidate must be self-driven and possess strong communication skills.

Key activities and responsibilities:

Process real image data, filter noise, verify image quality, and acquire data on hardware.Simulate or modify image data with a focus on image quality and the impact on real application results.Assist in hardware maintenance and throughput improvements within the team.Report and present results.

Qualifications:

University student with a background in applied physics, mathematics, biomedicine, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is an advantage.Basic knowledge of image processing methods and camera quality parameters.Proficiency in Python (preferred) or Matlab; experience with any C language is an advantage.Proactive approach and willingness to learn.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Enthusiasm for technology and innovation in life sciences.Proficiency in English.
