Description

Process Engineering - Intern functions by investigating, analyzing, planning and executing improvements to existing processes, products, equipment and data systems. Support Process Engineering efforts centered on scrap and cost savings reductions through development of standard processes. Improve work instruction accessibility by digitizing records to a cloud-based solution.  Dates of Internship: June 2nd - August 8th 2024

Responsibilities

Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position, as well as all safety procedures required at your work site. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.  Adhere to all safety requirement. Support process improvement projects that drive substantial reductions in quality failures (scrap) across Internal Manufacturing by digitizing records to a cloud-based solution.  Support the Coordination of process/product improvement efforts driven to attain validated annual financial savings.  Assist with the departmental execution of technologically driven solutions in order to attain fundamental process and systems improvements improving manufacturing flow, reducing manufacturing cost or increasing manufacturing capacity.

Qualifications

Enrolled in Bachelor program in an Engineering Discipline  Document Management Experience  Demonstrated Experience in Process Improvement.  Ability to work in a team environment.  Effective communication skills: verbal, written and presentation  Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office suite – PowerPoint, Project, Word and Excel.  Ability to understand, communicate and create technical manufacturing documentation  CAD Knowledge (AutoCAD, Rhino, Solidscape)  Knowledge of cloud based MES Tulip.  Experience in Videography
