Your role and responsibilitiesLooking for a taste of working life in an international, future-focused corporate group? Then join us as an intern (m/f/d) and familiarise yourself with a suitable department for 3 to 6 months. You will be involved in large-scale projects and perform a defined set of duties independently. Use your internship to build a network and become familiar with our company. The following tasks and responsibilities will be part of your role:•\tYou will support our research team in the development of next-generation actuation technologies utilizing electric motors and actuators. •\tYou will design and commission a hardware-in-the-loop testing environment for the versatile testing of state-of-the-art actuation technologies. •\tYou will design a power electronic converter, starting from topology selection, component sizing, component selection for high- and low-power electronics and commissioning of the complete drive system. •\tYou will develop and validate an FPGA-based, highly dynamic real-time closed-loop control system using cRIO real-time controller. •\tYou will benchmark different current and position control methods for state-of-the-art actuators. •\tYou will document your work and present the key results to your team members.
Qualifications for the roleStudy in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldsExperience in designing and commissioning power electronic hardware and digital control systemsTechnical know-how in LabView; hands-on experience with NI cDAQ and cRIO is a strong plusProactive, curious, and self-motivated – able to work both independently and in teamsFluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus
