The OpportunityThe Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team at Roche ensures the efficient and high-quality production of electrochemical sensors by bridging the gap between product development and full-scale manufacturing. MSAT focuses on process scale-up, optimization, and continuous improvement to maintain product integrity and meet global standards. As an intern with us, you'll gain hands-on experience working directly on a production line during an active scale-up.
Your main tasks will include:
Monitoring production data and analyzing key production performance indicators like yield, equipment uptime, and cycle times
Define and prioritize improvement projects to increase manufacturing process efficiency and quality.
Leading smaller projects and/or support as a key player on larger improvement projects in new production facilities.
Support on the shop floor and act as the first point of contact
Report status, results, and conclusions about yield improvements to the project team
Who You Are:You have a Bachelor or a Master degree in the field of Mechanical, Mechatronic, Production, and Process Engineering or related fields (or a technical apprenticeship with a Bachelor's degree ongoing)
Furthermore, you bring:
High interest in new technologies and manufacturing processes
Solution oriented and proactive mentality
First practical experience with leading smaller projects
Root cause analysis (statistics) and digital skills (e.g. Python, R)
Fluency in both, German and English (spoken and written)
Start date: November 2025
Duration: 6 -12 months
Please note that due to work permit reasons, NON-EU/-EFTA nationals need to provide a confirmation by their university stating that an internship is mandatory for their studies.
