Position Purpose:
Provide support for Dupont International Trade Services and Governance activities (ITSG) for Japan and support regional programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide strong Customs and Trade Compliance support to DuPont’s business units(BU).
Serve as ITSG single point of contact for Japan to ensure corporate and regulatory compliance.
Drive import/export operations and trade compliance activities. Provide ongoing support to the BUs and Logistics team leveraging the First & Standard Order Process. HTS Change management, Deliver 100% compliance with the global import/export strategy.
Execute global ITSG duty optimization projects for Japan. Free Trade Agreements, Duty Drawback and duty-avoidance. Support bonded operations customs formalities.
Work closely with external logistics suppliers, BU supply chain teams, customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely customs execution. Where necessary, identify and execute continuous improvements.
Manage Trade Security Programs: Import and Export control, Sanction Party Screening, and Export Compliance Program governance.
Manage Customs and Trade compliance permit, registrations and license, inspection, internal & external audit.
Provide customs regulatory update, guidance and training to business stakeholders.
Monitor and track suppliers’ performance metrics and gaps, identifying and delivering improvement action.
Manage Customs Brokers for performance, value creation and Value beyond Savings (VBS), align SOPs for operations and KPIs.
Support corporate projects.
Assess and mitigate risks to the business. Manage logistics-related supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of regional/global teams
Knowledge/Skills/Attributes
Strong knowledge of import, export, customs, trade compliance
Strong analytical, critical thinking, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple cultures, regions and market levels; analysts to senior leadership
Familiarity and experience with technological tools and processes (experience preferred but not required)
Fluent English and communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree
