International Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician

This position supports FSQA Managers and Technologists with the discharge of their responsibilities, primarily routine administrative support, data collection, supplier and product quality, and quality/food safety systems evaluations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collect, input and manage data within quality management data systems such as supplier records and related documentation.Organize and classify documents/records and quality data for ingredients, products, and components within quality management systems/document control software.Request, create/edit specification documents and other product data (new and updates, version management, etc.) and assist in reviews, tracking/maintenance of plant production data, assessment results and similar, and ensuring compliance.Assist with maintenance and upkeep of resource guides/procedures and document templates, to include updates and maintenance of product photo standards, processing guides, and related standards.Assist with product samples, ingredient reviews, sensory evaluations (ice cream, donuts and other food items, coffee and beverage) including requesting, receiving/shipping, storing and testing/preparing product samples and related ingredients for evaluations/reviews.Conduct, document and report such routine quality evaluations in accordance with requirements and procedures.Provide support of testing (in-house and/or with third party labs) of product samples for complaint investigations, compliance, shelf life or other performance-type analyses, and related reporting/communication and organization/documentation of results.Maintain internal lab facilities/services, samples, and supplies in an orderly fashion.Assist QA Managers and Technologists in any other routine or non-routine tasks and/or project work, supplier audits and production qualification as may be required from time to time.Other Duties as assigned.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Associate's degree or higher in Food Science or related fieldPreferred 4-Year degree in Food Science or related fieldPreferred 1+ years experience preferred in food manufacturing, production, research and development, quality assurance, or related food industry role.
