This Position reports to:

Manufacturing Unit Manager


 

In this role, you lead the execution of internal strategic projects at multi-national, regional, or global function level using ABB and/or 3rd party resources. Leads project execution in accordance with company procedures, relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, project objectives, applicable quality standards, safety requirements, and cost and scheduling targets. Applies project management processes as applicable.

Internal strategic projects are defined as improvement or change projects that add value to the business by improving processes and/or related activity costs by meeting clearly defined strategic objectives, schedules, and budgets, having a duration of at least 12 months.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Bussines in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.


You will be mainly accountable for:

Leads the team allocated to the project, defines main guidelines, allocates project tasks, and motivates and monitors internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.Ensures projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures.Keeps up to date and informed about any change in strategy and is consulted regarding any activities or other project(s) which have, or might have, a major impact on the project.Develops a project charter and a project plan describing how the project will be executed for communication to project team members, key stakeholders, approval, and as the basis for execution.Monitors and controls project cost and financials. Identifies, contains, and reduces risk and ensures that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.Analyzes procurement needs for the project and reflects these needs in the project plan and cost planning.Develops and manages team members through formal and informal mentoring and coaching, especially in L6S-based projects.

Qualifications for the role:

8 years of experience in project management, including greenfield projects in manufacturing environment.Bachelors Degree in industrial, mechanic, electrical, mechatronic or similar engineering.Experience in greenfield project start-up.Experience in manufacturing issues in the electrical sector.Validation of activities in functions in all areas.A bridge between each of the functions and the plant manager so that the requirements are met.Coordination with the team that is building the ship.Experience in Risk & Opportunity Management.Advanced English Level.
