The Opportunity

Wages:$20.77 to 26.03/hour
Under the general supervision of the Occupational Therapist, you will aide in implementing occupational therapy programs and daily activities in a safe manner to meet the needs of residents with multiple diagnoses including dementia.
You are a self directed individual with strong communication skills in both verbal and written English. You have excellent time management skills, attention to detail and problem solving abilities. Ability to sew is required. Excellent observation and reporting skills are also necessary. Computer skills are an asset.
Grade 12 is required. Completion of Occupational Therapy Aide course preferred. Previous experience providing occupational therapy to geriatric and disabled populations, and those with cognitive impairments. Consideration may be given to individuals with experience supporting other populations. Food Safe 1 is required (post July 29, 2013) or equivalent for BC employees and Food Safety Basic or equivalent for Alberta employees.
