Internal Engagement Specialist

As an Internal Engagement Specialist, you’ll play a key role in driving meaningful connections across the organization and supporting strategic initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational development. In this role, you’ll: * Lead and manage internal Organizational Development and in-reach projects that strengthen team cohesion and performance * Identify and implement strategies to support change management, employee engagement, and relationship-building with frontline staff * Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and peer agencies to align efforts and share best practices * Prepare internal communications and review outreach materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and impact * Develop tools and resources that elevate outreach efforts and foster a culture of inclusion and engagement * Create and deliver presentations and materials to internal stakeholders, supporting transparency and alignment across teams * Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Communications, Business, Planning or related fields * 5+ years of professional experience working for a transit/roadway agency (MDOT, SHA, BCDOT, MTA), local jurisdiction, state or federal agency, or related private sector position * Project management experience including overseeing scope, schedule, and budget * Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders * Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate across multiple media * Proficiency with Microsoft Office * Local to the Baltimore-Metro area and willing to report to Baltimore office at least two times per week. Ideally, you’ll also have * Familiarity with transit operations and the agencies working within these areas * Master’s degree in Transportation or related fields Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
