As Governance & Controls Manager, you’ll be the key driver of financial integrity and compliance across Royal Canin’s Corporate Office.
Your mission: ensure robust internal controls and processes are in place and consistently applied across all key areas—Campus, two French factories, the International Division, and our Shared Service Center.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with a wide range of stakeholders, including the RC Group Controller, Campus GM, VCO Europe Finance Director, International Division Finance Director, French Market CFO and Controller, SCC FinOps Manager, and internal/external auditors.
This role sits at the crossroads of local and regional governance, offering you a unique opportunity to influence how we embed control, accountability, and continuous improvement across multiple business layers.
What are we looking for?You have a degree in Finance, Accounting or similar, and you speak French and good English.
You’ve got 2+ years of experience in finance ops or controllership (including apprenticeship & internship)
You know how to work with finance processes, controls, and ERP systems (Navision or similar).
You feel confident talking to senior leaders and can challenge or support when needed.
You love digging into how things work and spotting gaps or risks in processes.
You’re curious and not afraid to try new things to solve problems.
You bring structure, clarity and a collaborative mindset to everything you do.
What will be your key responsibilities?You lead the Governance & Control roadmap for the Corporate Office, set clear priorities, and track progress with visibility on challenges and needs.
You drive consistency in internal control design and monitor its effectiveness through scorecards, audits, and continuous improvement actions.
You support the rollout of the new internal control standard (ICE Framework) and ensure compliance with Hard Close requirements.
You share and embed learnings from audits (internal, external, R25), and follow up on remediation plans (IA, MLCs, ICE gaps).
You act as the go-to person for internal control matters—answering Finance Manual questions, deploying training, and leading comms.
You coordinate with the Global PwC team and take part in the European Controller Community.
You foster a strong “tone at the top” on control and lead Total Quality Management for the Keep-the-Book process.
