We have an opportunity for an Internal Control Specialist to join our Corporate team in Bucharest.

Work Schedule:  3 days onsite at office /2 days’ work from\nhome - (Must be able to work in the office 3 days a week, full remote is not an\noption)

Internal Control Specialist responsibilities:

Controls design and management across the region/SOX complianceUS GAAP accounting compliance knowledgeCompliance over HON Enterprise Controllership policies and procedures – NSE’s, Account Recs, design/coordination and completion of Balance Sheet ReviewsHelp coordinate and complete internal/external audit proceduresOversee remediation of audit/CAP (Corrective Action Plans) observations & ensure strong internal controls environmentSupport Mergers & Acquisitions due diligence, purchase accounting and integration planningCollaboration with tax and treasury on key prioritiesHelp ensure deployment of the contemporary finance operating model across entities in the regionSpecial projects as determined by the Regional Finance Leader

Qualifications:

Experience within a similar role within accounting and or auditDegree in finance or economicsGood communication skills both written and verbalFluency (both oral and written) in EnglishUS-GAAP or IFRS Accounting knowledge requiredExcellent proficiency in Standard Office Software, experience with standard ERP’s is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management, organization and prioritization skillsInitiative, positive attitude, self-starter, “getting-things-done” and “hands-on” attitude.Critical thinking skills with good attention to detailProject management skills would be an advantageOngoing or completed ACCA is a plus
