As a member of the North America Internal Control Team, you will play a critical role in supporting control-related activities for operational and finance skill teams. This position provides an opportunity to achieve a competency in Internal Control and to gain exposure to multiple operational activities, as we are a dynamic and agile team supporting Manufacturing, Product Development (PD, Marketing & Sales (M&S), Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD), and Supply Chain. In this role, you will be supporting the North America Supply Chain organization and Canada region but the work assignments are dynamically balanced where resources are required.
What you'll do...
Serve as Internal Control partner for North America Supply Chain and the Canada region Work with operations to identify root causes of control gaps and develop / execute robust Control Improvement Plans Proactively identify potential control gaps, particularly in high-risk areas Manage overall annual Self-Assessment Control Testing Campaign from end to end Manage the quarterly Canada Certification and Representation consolidation process which supports the fair representation of Ford's financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and compliance with Ford standards of corporate conduct and policies against illegal or improper behavior Facilitate compliance with, and interpretation of, corporate, financial, regulatory, local, and other control policies and procedures as required Be a valued partner as you apply a control mindset to assist operating team to simplify business processes, workflow, communicating, and collaborating across multiple positions Lead and support special projects
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Finance, Business Admin, Accounting) Experience with financial data and reporting Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills Ability to apply intellectual curiosity and professional skepticism Ability to work in “white space” Multi-tasking and prioritization skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with various teams Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data management techniques Leadership – Ability to drive operational teams to results with tactful assertiveness Teamwork and Flexibility – As a member of a dynamic and agile workgroup, ability to support other team members to ensure balanced team workload and achievement of group objectives Self-motivated and autonomous – Able to work independently, seeking guidance when appropriate Positive attitude – Approach work with a “Can Do” attitude Prior accounting, auditing, or controls-related experience is beneficial but not required
