Internal Communications Strategist-Employee Resource Platform
Additional Information About the Role BJC Marketing and Communications is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Strategist to support our business transformation. The role sits within a dedicated Organizational Change Management team, supporting the implementation of our new Employee Resource Platform (ERP) and its companion timekeeping and scheduling system. We are seeking an individual with strong writing and project management skills, who will partner with multiple project stakeholders to ensure accurate and easily understandable information is communicated to our team members. This is a hybrid opportunity in the Kansas City metro area; the ideal candidate should be available for occasional on-site support at entities across the Kansas City metro area. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Manage communications projects for internal and/or external audiences that further the strategic goals and objectives of the organization. Projects may include newsletters, brochures, annual reports, other collateral materials, news releases, media relations, social media and web content. Responsibilities Creates communications and/or media relations plans and implements projects that align with HSO strategic goals and objectives. Meets with HSO/department contacts to gain understanding of communications needs and develop goals. May coordinate assignments among other members of the C&M team and provide input to Shared Services Creative Services teams. Ensures communications plans support HSO/department needs and oversees implementation. Maintains and further develops relationships with key internal and external clients and other partners to lead effective communications planning and execution. Serves as advisor and counsel on communications issues, including employee engagement, community relations, news media and crisis response. Develops and implements multimedia projects/campaigns, events/media relations plans for internal and external audiences. May assign specific components to other team members and takes responsibility for overall effectiveness and quality of the final deliverables, including meeting or exceeding team deadlines. Identifies metrics to measure effectiveness of campaigns/projects/events, including media placements and advertising equivalencies, and maintains subject matter knowledge on industry trends in news/social media. Analyzes results, recommends improvements, counsels teams and clients on best practices. Serves as C&M liaison with HSO and department leadership or news media. Interviews, writes, coordinates production and distribution. Serves as editor for HSO publications and for all components of communications projects to ensure accuracy, style, consistency and alignment with project goals and objectives. Partners with Shared Services teams.
