Internal Communications Manager

Mission of the Role

To lead the execution of Visteon’s internal communications strategy and ensure employees across the organization are informed, aligned, and connected to the company’s priorities and values. This role owns internal communication channels and content planning across critical functions, bringing consistency, clarity, and a modern, tech-forward tone and visual identity to all employee messaging internally. Through high-impact, timely communications, the role plays a critical part in elevating the employee experience and reinforcing Visteon’s identity as a dynamic, innovative technology company.

Scope of the Role

As a key member of the global communications team, this role leads the execution of internal communication plans aimed at enhancing employee engagement with Visteon. By managing core channels and delivering content that supports talent and engagement initiatives, this position partners with HR and stakeholders to ensure consistency, tone, and impact across all touchpoints. The focus is on creating meaningful communication experiences that drive connection and alignment.

How You Will Spend Your Days

Internal Channel Ownership & Optimization (35%)

Manage strategy, planning, and daily execution of internal channels, including intranet, email, and newsletters. Own the editorial calendar and identify new, cost-effective communication methods within existing platforms like Teams. Ensure content reflects a modern, brand-aligned tone and visual style consistent with a global tech company. Track and analyze channel performance to optimize content and drive continuous improvement.

HR & Talent Communications Support (30%)

Partner with HR to develop communications that support key initiatives and clearly convey Visteon’s performance culture and its impact on employee growth and business goals. Align with external-facing comms and brand teams to ensure internal messaging around performance culture is reinforced across broader campaigns and leadership narratives.

Execution of Internal Communications Strategy (30%)

Translate company-level communication strategies into clear, actionable internal plans and messaging. Align messaging across regions and functions while tailoring content to meet the specific needs of each audience.   Collaborate with communications colleagues to maintain consistency across internal and external narratives. Support Americas and EMEA leadership with regional messaging and town halls to drive alignment, transparency, and employee connection.

Analytics & Feedback (5%)

Monitor and measure the performance of internal communications across platforms. Gather employee feedback and engagement data to inform continuous improvement of messaging and channel effectiveness.

Year One Deliverables

Launch and Optimize Global Intranet
Lead the content migration and employee onboarding for the new global intranet by Q1 2026. Establish it as the central hub for internal communications. Develop a roadmap for content and platform enhancements over time. Implement Integrated Editorial Calendar
Create and manage an editorial planning system across all internal channels to ensure clarity, cadence, and message alignment. Elevate Communications for Talent Initiatives
Deliver consistent, effective support for all HR-driven initiatives by developing tailored communication strategies that improve employee awareness, participation, and feedback. Strengthen Communication Infrastructure
Assess and improve the performance of internal communication tools and processes, contributing to a more connected and informed employee base.

Success Metrics

Launch new intranet by Q1 2026 with 100% content migration and increased engagement based on usage metrics. Maintain a unified editorial calendar with 90% on-time content delivery across internal channels. Increase employee awareness of our performance culture and participation in HR programs, measured by campaign metrics and stakeholder feedback. Implement at least one improvement to internal comms channels (i.e,in Teams), resulting in measurable gains in engagement or efficiency.

Qualification, Experience, and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or employee engagement roles Proven experience implementing and/or managing internal communication platforms Strong understanding of employee engagement strategies, with an ability to tailor communications to a diverse workforce Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, providing strategic counsel and crafting impactful communications that align leadership messaging with organizational goals Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen ability to simplify complex topics Ability to use data insights to inform communication strategies and measure impact Experience driving communication strategies in a global organization, effectively tailoring messages to diverse audiences across multiple regions and cultures Experience with change management and organizational communication Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for corporate communications
