Internal Communications Content Creator

Here at Vertu Motors we are a unique opportunity for a Content Creator to join our central team! 

As a Content Creator for predominantly internal communications at Vertu Motors plc, you will play a critical role in supplying high-quality video content to be used within one of the UK's largest automotive retailer groups, enhancing our colleague training and development programme.

As part of an award-winning marketing department, you will be tasked with working with senior stakeholders across the business, with a strong focus on talking-head interviews, presenter-led segments, and some autocue/teleprompter work.

We’re looking for someone capable of editing high-quality long-form video content in a timely manner, who is driven and proactive, and is confident in working to set deadlines to deliver clear, professional communications and training videos for colleague use.

Through fully comprehending our values and culture, our Content Creator must be passionate about bringing to life inspiring colleague stories to produce engaging internal video content that is both useful and motivating.

Alongside an 80% weighting of this role’s focus on internal communications, the remaining portion of this role’s time will be dedicated to creating additional social media content – allowing for creative commercial expression across our award-winning social media channels. You will be creating mobile-first video content fit for Reels and TikTok, playing with social media trending content and sounds to further enhance our social media presence.

This role is expected to collaborate with the wider marketing team, aligning efforts with our HR, Social, Content, PR, and the in-house Studio teams to deliver successful project outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities:  

Organise video shoots in relevant locations (i.e. dealerships, head office) for a range of internal video content Working to set deadlines or autonomously within tight timeframes, ensuring your content is reactive and timely Ideate, plan, film and edit content tailored for use across set platforms as part of wider strategies Optimise relevant content for its platform and purpose (format, length, captions, etc) to maximise engagement. This may include some graphic design Work with senior stakeholders within the Group confidently and professionally Stay up to date with current social media trends and audio to integrate into content where relevant and when required Monitor key performance metrics across all content created and utilise actionable insights to refine and improve future content. This role is to be fully accountable for the produced content’s quality and performance  Be able to travel (company car and business insurance will be provided)

Qualifications and Skills:  

Demonstrated experience in filming both quality long-form landscape internal communication video content, and engaging/successful mobile-first (TikTok/Reel) content. Please be prepared to share portfolio to evidence.   Strong attention to detail, with a high level of written and verbal communication skills Strong competency with photo and video editing software, in addition to graphic design, animation and visual effects typically found in both internal training videos, and social media content, is also preferential Great personal organisational and project management skills, with an ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously or ‘on-the-go’, to ensure we are ‘reactive’ to trends or announcements quickly and efficiently Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners Passion for all things automotive, industry news and automotive-themed social media content, including an interest and understanding of current social media trends A drone licence to capture aerial content or bespoke shots to enhance video content is preferred, but not essential

This is a hybrid role, based out of our central Gateshead offices and the salary is £32,000.
