Internal Auditor
Description We are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join our team in La Vergne, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee operational audits to ensure compliance with regulations, corporate policies, and industry standards. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will also collaborate closely with the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors to maintain the integrity of our financial processes and controls. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual audit plan for the organization, including subsidiaries and joint ventures. • Act as the primary liaison for the annual external audit, providing necessary documentation and sampling as required. • Conduct special audits, investigations, and ad hoc projects as needed to address specific operational concerns. • Compile detailed audit reports and present findings to internal stakeholders and the Audit Committee. • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas of risk to ensure compliance with established standards. • Maintain thorough documentation of audit procedures and outcomes to support transparency and accountability. • Collaborate with various departments to address audit findings and improve operational efficiency. • Provide recommendations for enhancing internal processes and mitigating risks. • Ensure all audit activities are conducted in accordance with established standards and legal requirements. Qualified candidates reach out to Frank Corrigan Requirements • A minimum of three years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in a corporate setting. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Certification such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent, or actively working toward certification. • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and solve problems effectively. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact successfully with management and team members. • High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining flexibility and self-motivation. • Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
