The Audit Lead (USG Compliance) position is an exciting and challenging opportunity to apply and further develop USG compliance and business expertise through planning and performing audits and special projects across the RTX businesses. The Internal Audit function is developmental in nature and employees are assisted in furthering career goals through training & development, strategic networking and either progression within our team or rotation into business segment roles. This group is seen as a premiere entry point into the Company. As an Audit Lead, you will perform reviews of business processes, evaluating effectiveness of internal controls.
What You Will Do:
Lead USG compliance audits providing process & control improvements aimed at assisting management to attain goals and meet objectivesPerform audit scoping to surface risk areas; identify points of potential control weakness and opportunities for improvementCoordinate and conduct interviews with stakeholders during the auditProvide coaching to staff regarding audit tools and processesPresent audit conclusions and recommendations to managementDraft audit report, perform wrap-up activities and follow up on findingsContinuous self-improvement including technical skills Travel as necessary (20% to 30%)Major focal areas include but are not limited to:
Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Business SystemsCost Accounting Standards (CAS)Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Experience in one or more US Government compliance disciplines: FAR, DFARS, CAS, Estimating, Program Finance, and/or USG contractingExperience in one or more areas: GAAP Accounting, Government Accounting, Operations, US Government Compliance, Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Internal Audit, Internal Controls, Technical Accounting, Public AccountingQualifications We Prefer:

This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
