Our Internal Audit Group is seeking an eager Audit Director to actively contribute to the execution of the audit plan across the EMEA region. This includes organizing and directing audit engagements, ensuring appropriate resourcing, and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency across the portfolio. While the audit scope spans EMEA, the Director will also manage key relationships with senior management and market leadership in the UK, serving as the primary audit point of contact. The individual will represent Internal Audit at UK Audit Committee meetings, presenting the audit plan, reporting on progress, and highlighting significant issues and emerging risks relevant to the UK market. How will you make an impact in this role?

Lead regional and international simultaneous audit engagements across multiple business areas, working with different audit leaders. Proactively manage audit execution including supervise and mentor junior staff, review their workpapers, and escalate issues. Evaluate results, synthesize audit findings across the project, draft audit reports, and ensure effective and efficient audit execution. Present audit objectives, scope, and results to senior management, clearly articulating the potential impact of control gaps. Collaborate with audit teams to understand the data behind key processes, risk and controls to develop analytic control tests and analyze and interpret their results. Present the internal audit activity, including audit plan status and audit conclusions in the relevant committees of local legal entities.     Effectively coach and mentor less experienced colleagues and co-sourced resources in geographically diverse locations across all aspects of their role, the audit and analytic lifecycle, audit methodology, best practices, and business processes and products (including associated risks and controls).

Minimum Qualifications

Significant relevant experience. Strong knowledge and experience in application of internal control and audit practices, including internal and/or external audit, compliance or operational risk management. Strong written and verbal communication skills that deliver quality, actionable and impactful feedback to management on potential control issues and solutions to close gaps. Proven ability to work independently and to lead team members in a way that encourages, develops, and delivers results. Effective project management skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and employ creative thinking to lead and manage multiple projects. 

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred financial services/payments industry experience in the UK and an understanding of related products, services, features and key regulations. Experience with data analytic tools, data visualization, key risk indicators (KRIs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and scorecards/dashboards. Ability to break-down a complex problem into components, solve them using data analysis, process knowledge and risk/control knowledge, and communicate data analysis, issues and control recommendations with transparency and integrity.
