Internship Details

Duration: 12 weeks, full-timeDates of Internship: May 18, 2026 - August 7, 2026Location: Durham, NC/HybridHours: Monday-Friday 40hrs/weekEligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

About the Team:

The highly skilled clinical lab team in South Bend provides a range of services for hospital-based clients including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and molecular testing in a fast-paced environment. 

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated summer intern to join our IT team as a Technical Product Owner. In this role, you will support the product lifecycle, including strategy, planning, sprint execution, release management, and certification. You will collaborate closely with the project management team, product managers, engineering team, clinical team, and stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in product strategy development (technology focus)Support sprint planning, grooming, and executionParticipate in demo, design review, and sprint task planningHelp define product requirements, workflows, and standardsContribute to release planning, certification, and deployment activitiesCommunicate release progression, scoring, and metricsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and requirements

Education/Requirements/Skills:

Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholdersExperience with Agile methodologies and ceremonies is idealInterest in IT product management and agile methodologiesDetail-oriented, organized, and proactiveAbility to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Note: Excellent communication skills are imperative for this position. You will be expected to work closely with project management, product managers, engineering, clinical teams, and stakeholders throughout your internship.

Application Window: 9/9/25 - 10/9/25

Pay Range: $22 - $25/hr

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
