UOP Chemical Engineering Internship
Chemical\nEngineering Internship Opportunities
We have several opportunities for summer internships for students\nin current pursuit of a degree in Chemical Engineering.
UOP summer interns will work on one or more aspects of technology\ndevelopment and transfer, with meaningful projects and assignments supported by\nUOP technical experts. They will\nparticipate in office-based teams using chemical engineering principles for the\ndesign and optimization of processes and unit operations for the oil, gas and\npetrochemical industries.
Interns will also have the opportunity to become more familiar\nwith all aspects of UOP and full-time work opportunities at UOP and other areas\nof Honeywell. Full time opportunities\nfor graduated chemical engineers include UOP’s Early Career Program for\nChemical Engineers. The Early Career Program is a 12 month program exposing new\nengineers to a variety of functions including Research and Process Development,\nProcess Engineering and/or Technical Service. Experience is gained in one or more of UOP’s key refining and\npetrochemical technologies with a variety of activities that may include\noperating pilot plants, designing, troubleshooting and/ or servicing UOP\nprocess units, and performing other challenging assignments. Following 12 months\nof training Engineers will transfer to Field Operating Service (FOS). In FOS they travel full time for 3-5 years on\nassignments to multiple locations around the world supporting UOP customers in\noperating plants as a process or instrumentation advisor.Basic Qualifications:
Completion\n of at least 2 full semesters or equivalent, of academic study, in\n pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering at an accredited\n university or college. Prefer completion of at least 4 full semesters.
Additional Qualifications:
Broad technical\n knowledge in general Chemical Engineering principles
Ability\n to organize, prioritize, and work independently
Good written and\n oral communication, with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work\n well with others at all organizational levels through strong teamwork and\n communication skills
Interest\n in extensive travel to international and domestic locations (required for\n UOP’s Early Career Program for full time hires)
