**Job Overview:**
McDermott APAC is seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Intern to support procurement and logistics functions across offshore oil and gas EPC projects. This role will provide hands-on assistance in supplier coordination, materials management, and contract support within a dynamic, project-driven environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and eager to grow within the energy and offshore industry.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Support procurement activities for materials, equipment, and services in line with project schedules and budgets
+ Liaise with vendors, project teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project specifications
+ Assist in preparing and issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement documentation in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
+ Participate in vendor prequalification, bid evaluations, and purchase recommendation processes
+ Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material movement with warehouse and logistics teams
+ Contribute to supply chain reporting, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
+ Ensure adherence to McDermott’s procurement procedures and global compliance standards
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Economics or other related degrees
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge with ERP platforms such as Oracle is preferred
+ Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams
+ High attention to detail, organizational ability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced project environment
**Preferred Qualifications and Education:**
+ Understanding of offshore construction, fabrication, and marine logistics is a plus
+ Familiarity with international shipping, incoterms, and customs documentation
