**Job Overview:**
The Intern supports the administration group and works closely with their supervisor to follow clearly defined general services procedures. The Intern is a role that allows for the development of new administration-related skills. The Intern is responsible for performing basic administration activities and using existing procedures, to solve straightforward problems.
Looking for graduate students in final year or 3rd year of Engineering courses in Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronis for internship with McDermott Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, reports, and calculations under supervision
+ Support engineering teams in data collection, document review, and basic analysis tasks
+ Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and team discussions
+ Learn and apply relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI)
+ Perform basic modeling, drafting, or simulation tasks using tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or engineering software
+ Help with quality checks and document control tasks
+ Maintain engineering records and assist in updating technical documentation
+ Observe and learn from cross-disciplinary collaboration with procurement, construction, and project management teams
+ Learning Objectives
+ Gain exposure to large-scale project execution in a real-world engineering environment
+ Understand how engineering principles are applied in the oil & gas / energy sector
+ Develop familiarity with industry tools, safety practices, and quality processes
+ Enhance teamwork, technical communication, and documentation skills
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural, Chemical, or related field)
+ Strong academic performance and a basic understanding of core engineering concepts
+ Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, Excel)
+ Good communication, organization, and teamwork skills
+ Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a professional setting
**Preferred Qualifications and Education:**
+ Prior internship or academic project experience in a relevant field
+ Exposure to industry codes and standards
+ Interest in offshore, subsea, or energy infrastructure projects
