Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Electrical Controls Designer to join a dynamic team and contribute to a diverse range of projects. The role involves designing electrical and automation systems for power generation, plant automation, and process and compression equipment. The position offers a guaranteed six months of work, with potential for extension.

ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical and automation systems for power generation.Develop plant automation solutions.Create designs for process and compression equipment.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technologist.Over 5 years of experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and CADWorx.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Knowledge and application of codes and standards such as IEC, ATEX, CSA, CEC, and ISA, particularly in hazardous areas.Additional Skills & QualificationsExcellent communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.Strong conflict resolution skills.Ability to take initiative and speak up.Confidence in decision-making.Adaptability to change and management of shifting priorities.Work Environment

The role is based on-site, working within an office space in a cubicle setting. The environment offers a complex and challenging atmosphere that encourages skill development and provides exposure to large-scale projects with diverse scenarios, ensuring a fresh and stimulating day-to-day experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, Alberta.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
