Job Purpose:
To deliver high-quality support to the Sales Department, providing dedicated assistance to Business Development Managers (BDMs) and engaging proactively and reactively with clients from leading UK IFAs, platforms, and life companies.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Client Support
Provide day-to-day support to BDMs, including verbal and written communication with IFAs. Proactively follow up on BDM appointments with supporting documentation. Assist with strategic account management in collaboration with the Heads of Strategic Partnerships and BDMs. Manage the novation process and confirm completion to IFAs. Update CRM records with appointments and calls during peak periods.Reporting & Data Management
Compile and evaluate Management Information (MI) reports. Produce daily and monthly charts, tables, graphs, and comparison reports for IFAs and the sales team. Support the completion of IST reports for senior management. Maintain and update policy/procedure documents for IST, ensuring approval by the BSM.Operational Collaboration
Liaise with key operational departments (Marketing, Client Data, Finance, Middle Office, CFS) to ensure IST obligations are met within SLAs. Distribute monthly documentation such as fund factsheets and market updates to the IST team. Complete terms of business renewal checklists across Raymond James Wealth Management (formerly Charles Stanley).Administrative & Project Support
Perform general administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as required. Oversee the team inbox, managing queries and correspondence. Support IST Management and Sales Managers with ad hoc requests and project work. Assist the Head of Sales Operations in improving sales processes.Proposal Production
Prepare investment proposals for MPS, IHT, and TDFM. Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English. Industry-recognised qualifications such as the Investment Operations Certificate or Investment Advice Diploma are advantageous. Experience: Experience in financial or professional services is preferred. Comfortable working across all levels of an organisation. Previous involvement in project-based work is beneficial. Skills & Competencies: Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a “can-do” attitude. Highly organised and methodical approach to work. Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables). Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Adaptable and resilient under pressure. Effective time management and workload prioritisation. Diplomatic and confident in stakeholder engagement. Strong written communication and report writing abilities. Team player with a desire to learn and contribute.
