A full-service architecture and interior design firm in Chicago is looking to add an Interior Designer II to their team!
Job Description:
Independently lead and complete interior design assignments with minimal supervisionManage technical and design aspects of projects, including evaluating and recommending solutions tailored to client needsDevelop designs aligned with client goals, contributing to schematic design and design development phasesSelect and specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E); conduct research and gather pricing, specifications, and lead timesCreate plans, 3D renderings, presentation drawings, finish boards, and other visual materialsCoordinate with consultants and FF&E dealers; assist in developing FF&E specificationsMentor junior team members and support project managers as neededParticipate in client meetings and collect programming dataConduct field surveys and document existing conditions; create Revit modelsPerform QA/QC reviews on design and technical aspects of projectsProduce construction document sets in accordance with established drawing standardsParticipate in submittal processes, addenda sketches, drawing revisions, and permittingAssist with punch-list walk-throughs and follow-up actionsQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design5 years of post-graduate experienceExperience in technical detailing is preferredPrevious experience working on educational, municipal or public projects is requiredProficiency in Revit required, SketchUp preferredWorking knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign graphic software preferredPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
