As an Interim Middle Market Financial Lines Underwriting Support, you will work in a dynamic international environment within our Commercial Lines division in EMEA. Your role involves proactively supporting underwriting teams by delivering high-quality customer service, managing operational functions, and coordinating with various teams. You will oversee the entire process of producing and issuing insurance policies, collaborate with underwriters to create instructions for support teams, and handle some processing tasks directly. The role includes managing new business, renewals, and policy changes, all with a focus on customer-centric service and adherence to Chubb's standards.
Key responsibilities
Opening submissions, archiving documentation, and preparing renewals by requesting and following up on information, obtaining loss runs, and preparing draft worksheets. Support underwriters by providing underwriting, regulatory, and compliance information, and preparing instructions for processing and issuing new business, renewals, endorsements, invoices, and documentation within required time frames and quality standards.Be a focal point for internal colleagues, working closely with Segment leaders, Line Managers, Underwriters, and Service centers to deliver agreed client service standards. This involves troubleshooting and solving issues affecting the customer, such as following up with brokers on renewals and quotes and sending instructions to operations and MSU.Address Broker administration queries regarding local market practices, market and service offerings, and regulatory/tax queries. Support the timely resolution of credit control queries and manage the UA Mailbox effectively, handling requests from UWR, brokers, and Credit Control.At least 2 years of experience in Operations.Professional language skills in English. Portuguese would be a plus.Previous experience in an underwriting support role is a plus.Insurance background is preferred.Competent in Microsoft Office – especially Excel.Strong customer service skills and customer centric attitude.Strong attention to detail and the desire to deliver and improve quality.Problem resolution and decision-making skills.Ability to work in a team environment as well as on own initiative.Effective communication skills (written, verbal, active listening)Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize.
