Position Overview

The Distribution & Logistics Manager oversees the operations, space planning, and coordination of warehouse logistics for a healthcare organization. This role ensures efficient management of inventory, vendor coordination, and cross-departmental collaboration to support hospital operations, equipment storage, and special project needs. The manager plays a key role in reconfiguring and optimizing warehouse space, managing incoming and outgoing supplies, and supporting hospital-based transitions and upgrades.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: 3 years of experience in supply chain, distribution, or materials management—preferably in a healthcare setting. Other Credentials: Knowledge andSkills: Strong knowledge of inventory systems, warehouse layout planning, and healthcare product handling. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Lead and execute full physical inventory counts of the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory handling, tracking, and reporting.Maintain optimal inventory levels to support hospital needs while minimizing excess.Reconfigure warehouse space to group merchandise by department, category, and priority use.Maximize warehouse space utilization based on product size, weight, and handling requirements.Assign and monitor designated space for specialized equipment storage to support clinical and operational needs.Manage all direct-from-vendor deliveries to the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate receipt and documentationCommunicate with internal stakeholders regarding expected deliveries and handling requirements.Serve as the point of contact for Print Shop Operation relocation, coordinating logistics with vendors for equipment and supplies.Coordinate closely with the Bed Management Program Lead to align warehouse access and storage needs.Partner with hospital-based departments to facilitate warehouse use for key initiatives.Provide consultative support for clinical and administrative project teams on space and logistical feasibility.Plan and manage space requirements for the relocation of the Print Shop Operation into the warehouse.Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless transition of equipment and supplies.Engage with project managers to support temporary and long-term warehousing needs for ongoing facility or technology upgrades.
