This position serves our partners at the Minnesota Department of Revenue (DOR). MNIT DOR helps manage the state’s revenue collection systems and administers state tax laws. The team is responsible for powering technology that collects over $30 billion annually.
As the lead position for the Interfaces and Data Capture team, the position plans, manages projects, prioritizes work, assigns resources, and provides leadership for new enhancements, major changes, and upgrades to the Department of Revenue (DOR) scanning and imaging and Gentax systems.
This position is responsible for analyzing, coding, testing and implementing code configurations for Interfaces.. This position is responsible for implementing solutions that satisfy well-defined business problems using the IT standards and practices, policies and procedures.
The position is responsible for providing analysis of business requests, gathering requirements, coding and configuring, testing, implementing and maintaining system upgrades, and providing production support not only to the DOR data capture systems but also in support of the GenTax application development team.
The position provides the day-to-day leadership and work direction to employees as an extension of management. The position has the ongoing, daily responsibility to prioritize, schedule, assign, direct, guide, and report on the work activities of state information technology employees, student workers, and contractors so that work is completed in an efficient and effective manner.

Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of IT related experience in IBML scanning software, Intelligent Capture: Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and Deposit 21 (D21).
Experience must include:
+ Proficiency in Modernized e-File (MeF) and Schemas
+ Proficiency in GenTax Integrated Tax Processing
+ Skilled in working with Office 365
+ Understanding of SSRS reporting
+ Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
+ Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Ability to work with and coordinate many vendors
+ Experience managing a staff of 5
+ Knowlege of Amazon connect
