Our Shared Service Centre (SSC) is currently looking for an Intercompany Accountant (m/f). This is an opportunity for a talented, self-motivated individual to develop their skill set and network in PwC, working with experienced Accounting and Finance practitioners across the region. 

 

Work in SSC is specific and different than work in other departments of PwC. It combines the advantages of working in a SSC and the unique environment of the largest consultancy network in the world. 

 

Your responsibilities

registration of intercompany invoices in accordance with the requirements of commercial, financial and other departments. 

responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: ITC, AP & AR process, GL, account allocation, reconciliation etc.) 

ensure that everything is accurately recorded on the correct general ledger accounts (GLs) and the appropriate cost centers/job codes 

monitor the mailbox for all intercompany-related inquiries, addressing and handling outstanding balances / reminders, reconciliations of intercompany balances, and business-related questions. 

prepare payment orders (netting and non-netting) 

coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities 

ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting 

communicate with English speaking clients in order to resolve routine queries and problems.

Personality requirements and skills

undergraduate or graduate degree in finance or economics 

at least one/two years of experience in a similar position 

sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures 

knowledge of accounts payable and monthly period end closing 

good communication skills in English, oral and written, with the ability to draft and deliver clear messages to clients (B2) 

advanced user of MS Excel 

ability to think and plan ahead, be flexible, accurate and quickly shift gears in a dynamic environment, to cope with tight deadlines 

Clear and concise communication skills to engage with clients and team members.
