Interaction Designer, Laptops and Tablets

As a User Experience (UX) Designer on the Laptops and Tablets team, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience for Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered Operating System (OS). You will be defining and delivering OS Foundations experiences (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular, peripherals).The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world. + Contribute to user experience that will have an impact on computing built on Android. + Drive the conceptualization and implementation of new features for Operating System (OS) Foundations (e.g., Connectivity, Peripherals, Base OS, engagement with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners). + Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that illustrate user journeys and interface designs. Contribute to the development and maintenance of design guidelines and systems to ensure consistency and scalability across Laptop and Tablets projects. + Work with UX Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers to translate user needs and technical capabilities into designs. Iterate on designs based on user feedback and technical feasibility. + Advocate for user-centered design principles within the team.
