**Description:**
**Position Purpose:**
At **Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center** , the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) delivers patient care to individuals in critical condition.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Assume responsibility for Critical Care Patients, conducting assessments, devising care plans, and adjusting critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation levels.
+ Attend to patients requiring advanced monitoring, heightened observation, utilization of invasive equipment, and administration of intricate medication regimens.
**Minimum Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing required
+ Valid RN license in Connecticut
**Preferred:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
+ Ideal candidates will have one or more years of ICU, Critical Care, or Step Down nursing experience
+ Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training
+ BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
+ ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.
**Position Highlights:**
+ Full-Time: 36 hrs/week – Night Shift
+ Rotating weekends and holidays
+ Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience
