The Intake Manager monitors all activities and information related to the processing of new referrals and patient customer service. This position completes all personnel related tasks for Intake employees and works closely with all branch personnel, referral sources, sales team, and Revenue Cycle Management department personnel.

 

On site in Centennial Mon - Fri 9:00am - 5:30pm

Responsibilities Supervises the process of taking Infusion Therapy referrals from referral sourcesEnsures that all intake forms are complete, clear and within Amerita’s scope of serviceEnsures that all day-to-day branch operations work towards branch goals for revenue growth, timely revenue recognition and provision of outstanding patient customer serviceEnsures intake personnel are properly performing all functions related to registering patients, communicating with other departments regarding referrals, participating in patient care coordination and communicating with patients regarding coverage and financial obligationsEnsures that insurance verification is completed, and authorization is in place prior to giving the referral to a pharmacistResponsible for keeping staff current with payer requirements and Amerita policy and procedures related to the intake process, CPR+ functions and managing unbilled revenueUnderstands and adheres to all applicable company policies and state and federal regulations and ensures Intake staff adherenceIdentifies inefficient processes and monitors workload of staff, making recommendationsParticipates in and coordinates training for all new intake staffResponsible for all other duties assigned by management Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or some college preferredA minimum of 3 years experience collection referral information in the healthcare market (to include 2 years of supervisory experience)Working knowledge of medical terminologyExperience working with all payer types to include Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance companiesHome infusion experience a plusSolid Microsoft Office Suite skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to independently obtain and interpret informationKnowledge of CPR+ software a plusThis role supervises Intake Coordinators/Assistants.This role does not require travel

**While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Requires significant amount of computer time including keyboard entry and viewing text on a standard computer monitor**
