Complete all financial verifications to confirm health insurance benefits, coverage, and identify the primary/secondary payers requested by community staff, as outlined in the Centralized Intake Process.
Responsible for monitoring changes to eligibility and coverage from third party payors accepted by individual organization communities and keeping community teams abreast of the changes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the financial and coverage aspects of skilled nursing revenue cycle to ensure accurate reimbursement from all payor sources.
Input all admission data into the EHR system including demographics, payer sources, emergency contacts, physicians, and uploading preadmission attachments.
Maintains professional and timely communication with all interactions including amongst team members, community staff, organizational leadership, referral sources, etc.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required Degree: High School Diploma
Preferred Degree: Associates Degree
Experience:
Minimum of two years of professional experience in skilled nursing sales, admissions and/or healthcare business development/sales.
CCRC experience is preferred but not necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Understanding of the skilled nursing payer mix and a high-level understanding of third-party reimbursement (Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care) is required.
Must have excellent customer service skills and good organizational skills
Must be able to develop relationships and communicate effectively with remote co-workers.
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
Compensation Pay Range:
$20.38 - $24.88 per hourReasonable Pay Estimate
