Intake Behavioral Health RN (Psych Experience), Hudson Valley, NY
**Req Number** 162972 FlexStaff is seeking a FULL-TIME Registered Nurse for our client, an organization that provides housing and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position is for their Hudson Valley Extended Step-Down Program (ESD). The ideal candidate will have experience with individuals with behavioral health conditions and developmental disabilities. Must be flexible to travel to hospitals throughout the Hudson Valley region (including Yonkers/Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Putnam, Orange and Ulster counties). Monday-Friday 9a-5pm - 37.5 hour work week. ESD Registered Nurse Position Overview: The Nurse (RN) will be working with hospitals to have individuals with complex medical and psychiatric needs discharged into the community, transition back to where they were living before, whether in their family home, or living independently. The RN ensures that all medical care is integrated into each participant's overall treatment plan, working in close collaboration with the Consultant Psychiatrist, clinical team, and care management staff. The Nurse plays a critical role in medication management, health monitoring, and providing health education to both staff and residents. Responsibilities: + Conduct health assessments, manage medications, and monitor the medical well-being of individuals in both the CTI and TRS components. + Collaborate with the Consultant Psychiatrist and clinical team to ensure the integration of medical care with behavioral and therapeutic interventions. + Provide health education and training for residents and staff, focusing on wellness, preventive care, and chronic disease management. + Monitor and manage medication administration and ensure compliance with all health-related regulations and best practices. + Respond to medical emergencies and ensure that all necessary medical interventions are in place. Qualifications: + Education: Registered Nurse (RN) license required. + Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in psychiatric or developmental healthcare + Expertise in clinical assessment, care coordination, and medication management, with the ability to work within interdisciplinary teams. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
