Insurance Verification Representative

Performs insurance verification for all scheduled patient services and obtains required precertification in a multi-disciplinary environment

This is a PART TIME (.7 or 56 hours per 2 week pay period) position located within the Heart Hospital/Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia (must be at office Wednesday and Friday each week).

Clinic hours are 8-430pm. No weekend/holidays hours

This position is not offered remotely.

EducationHigh School Diploma

Certification/Licensureno specific certification or licensure requirements

ExperienceTwo of the following four skill levels required: 1. One year experience in healthcare environment or 2. Completion of healthcare related certificate program 3. One year experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician office or 4. Transferable skills (i.e., 1 year or more in a call center, customer services, etc.)

Insurance Verification Full Time Hospital Physician office

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$16.92 - $25.38. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
