Description We are looking for a Patient Account Representative to join our team on a contract basis in Springfield, Oregon. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring accurate insurance verification and authorization processes while maintaining follow-ups on claims and payments. Your contributions will directly support efficient operations and client satisfaction. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough verification of medical insurance coverage and benefits for patients. • Obtain necessary insurance authorizations for medical services and procedures. • Handle insurance referrals and ensure all verification steps are completed accurately. • Follow up on denied claims to identify issues and facilitate resolution. • Track and manage outstanding insurance payments, ensuring timely follow-ups every two weeks. • Develop and maintain detailed plans for follow-up actions related to claims and payments. • Communicate effectively with insurance providers to resolve issues and clarify requirements. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance with insurance policies. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance protocols and regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in medical insurance verification and authorization. • Familiarity with insurance claims processes and payment follow-ups. • Strong understanding of insurance referral and verification procedures. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication abilities for interacting with insurance providers and internal teams. • Proficiency in managing denied claims and resolving payment discrepancies. • Knowledge of current insurance regulations and protocols. • Ability to work independently while adhering to follow-up schedules.
